Nurture — In the Middle of Everything
Feel free to use the words "emo" or "screamo" or "post-harcore" if you like. They don't really mean too much unless you feel the need to label music. I'm not one for it.
I will label Nurture as an honest band, an aggressive band and a passionate band. Add those up with one hell of a loud sound that conjures up some 90's nostalgia and I think we've got something folks.
Think Drive Like Jehu meets Sunny Day Real Estate meets Fugazi?
Fuck I don't know. I know I like it. And that's what counts.
SBT is proud to present Nurture's first physical release, In the Middle of Everything EP on black cassette complete with a fold-out newsprint lyric sheet.
"Coming across as a hybrid between Metz and At the Drive-In, Nurture seem to throw themselves against the speakers and hope that you enjoy the results."
— Beats Per Minute
"In the Middle of Everything feels like a damn journey... Vocalist and bassist Dionnet Bhatti possesses a devastating yowl, and drummer Sasha Schilbrack-Cole's particular brand of playing feels claustrophobic and loose at once. Capped off by the seriously mean crunch of guitarist Terence Chiyezhan, Nurture's is a sound that will be hard for folks to overlook for too long.
